I didn't forget - I wrote to a friend in Boston:
"Happy 4th. We've all had a chat about it and we don't want it back, thank you..."
She replied:
"Gee, too bad -- we're well into our plan to return it to you in small, indigestible pieces: McDonalds ... Budweiser Lite ... the infamous Sunny Delight ..."
I responded:
"Not to mention Starbuck's"
She said:
"I was saving that for the coup de grace. Thanks very much for the mad cow thing, by the way."
