Some of you might like to know of a programme about him on RTE radio tomorrow. UK based listeners can get it on Sky Channel 0160.

RTE Radio 1 will air a documentary on popular trainer Oliver Brady this Saturday evening 30th January at 6.05pm.The Documentary on One programme is titled 'The Brady Bunch' and was produced by John Scally.
Brady speaks candidly about the many highs and lows in his career and personal life. Oliver recalls his early childhood when, at just four years of age, his father died from an old war wound.
He describes his days as a preacher with Ian Paisley and the shadow cast by ‘the Troubles’ on life in the border county of Monaghan. He recounts his many experiences as a horse racing trainer and how chance played a part in his success when a lucky bet saw him earn enough money to set up his own stables.

Have backed his Ebadiyan for the champion at 100-1, when you think of his run in the triumph before running out and what price he'd have been for the big one if he'd stayed in the race and got placed

I well remember the build up to Cheltenham last season when Mr O'Grady was being interviewed, standing alongside his 'apple of the eye', and his aspirations for Ebadiyan. The horse held his own until he 'ran out'. I know very little about Mr O'G other then his personal tragedies. Appears others know better? I remember the pictures on the telly when the grey nibbled and nuzzled Mr O'G and he almost did the same back. I wish them both the best of luck. Nothing wrong with wishing and hoping.
If Ebadiyan is 100-1 I would be more then happy to back him. Not for financial gain but to hope that Mr O'G gets to live his dream in a horse that he believes in

agree Frankel...some folk would give him grief if he gave a million to charity..so you just know that something like this will bring the stick out

in an age where folk text and tweet when they having a dump or a jump and almost everywhere else i think you have to be a bit old fashioned to believe this isn't going to be done

my personal thoughts are that all mobile phones should be burned..i don't own one..can't stand em...but realise that 70% of the population have an addiction similar to that for crack cocaine for the damn things..so accept what occurs with such an addiction

anyway

RIP Oliver
