Been watching Charlie Clover for a few days now, he is in unreal form. Just has one runner tomorrow. BLOOMING LEGEND 6.53 Lingfield.

Just backed his latest runner in 5.25 Newmarket.

These are his last few runners

7 June Flowerhead WON 15/8
8 June A'll G WON 11/1
9 June No spritz no party WON 33/1

18 June Flowerhead 2nd 100/1 to True Love
20 June Political Power WON 16/1

Fingers xed for tomorrow

Is he (or she) related to Tom Clover?
Kind of torn between thinking they've got a nice little bunch of 2yo's (2yo's 4-14 / 3yo+ 1-27), or if yard coming really good in June?
I know that one unraced horse went from Tom Clover to Charlie Clover. Tom Clover statistically better with 2yo's.

No Spritz No Party is owned by Mrs Sarah Planas (only horse) and ridden both times by Connor Planas, not that it means anything, just all seems closely knit during my little Magnum PI adventure through the RP.

Eclipser was another 2yo winner in June for them at Chelmsford.

A'll G and No Spriz No Party are entered again this week, along with 5yo Zafaan who has been hurdling with this yard a few times and over middle trips on the AW. Could potentially run a good race off 49 back at Yarmouth.
I'll be passing on Zafaan, but will join you if they enter an unraced 2yo somewhere, as might get some tasty odds again with an unknown.

They are Full brothers.

From his website:

Charlie has always had an affinity with horses. After leaving school, he immediately began running his own full-time eventing yard, achieving significant success at both national and international levels, including being shortlisted for the GBR junior and young rider eventing teams.

Charlie found his way into racing in 2016 when his eldest brother, Tom Clover, started training. This experience quickly hooked Charlie, and his career in racing took off.

Assisting in the growth of Toms successful yard, Charlie obtained an amateur flat and jumps licenses, as well as a point-to-point license, enjoying wins across the board.

Eager to expand his knowledge, Charlie spent some time in America working for White Birch Farm, where he assisted in pretraining some of the most promising yearlings in the country. He also worked with Christophe Clement Racing, one of America's most respected trainers. Christophe sent two horses to Royal Ascot the following summer and entrusted Charlie with the final preparations leading up to their respective races.

Upon his return from the States, Charlie immediately took on an assistant role for Kevin Philippart de Foy, where he was tasked with opening and managing a new secondary yard for the growing business (Kings Yard, Egerton). The yard went on to achieve tremendous success, contributing 28 of the 62 total winners last year. Subsequently, Charlie spent last winter in Dubai, where he saddled Vafortino to win and place second in two valuable black-type races at Meydan.

Alongside this role, Charlie has become adept at buying and selling bloodstock independently, demonstrating a keen eye for value in the sales ring. Last year's total spend across two yearlings was 21,500gns, with a resale of 75,000gns at breeze-up and HIT sales. These two horses have gone on to achieve notable success: ‘Mc Loven’ broke the Lingfield track record over 5F for juveniles, while ‘Mysterious Shadow’ won three of her first four starts in Italy, including two listed races. The prize money for these two individuals currently stands at over £70,000.

Now embarking on his own training journey, Charlie is seeking the support of prospective owners to join his ever-expanding team.

Thanks for that, Mr W. I had seen that a horse had gone from Kevin Philippart de Foy to Chatlie Clover, now I see more of the jigsaw.

"Charlie spent some time in America working for White Birch Farm, where he assisted in pretraining some of the most promising yearlings in the country. "

It's perhaps this experience we're starting to see.
