I was going to suggest telling her that coq au vin was on the menu and see if she re-discovered her appetite

I suspect there must be a whole can of puns/ double entendres here given Miss Hiltons reputation, and rich alternatives in the English language.

I was moderately amused when the media reported her as arriving at court in handcuffs :what: and....ur....anything unusual about. There is of course a notorious prison in Thailand known as the Bangkok Hilton.

The real tragedy about this though, is that haven't she's done her porridge, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see her released within a few days again, she'll probably make a small fortune on the chat show circuit and celebrity mags etc and will come out of it enhanced. Especially if she fronts some drink drive campaign to boot

I'm sure she can easily afford cosmetic surgery without having to do all that.

Which misses and also makes my point for DO.

It's a bit like being a minor member of the royal family, she needs a purpose. That's where the similarity ends though (she's American afterall, and a New Yorker, despite living in LA). She's a young women, blessed with good looks, an inherritance that will ensure she doesn't have to worry, a penchant for self publicity (look at me, me, me) and a celebral cortex made of orange peel.

She has to justify herself to herself and her accolytes who'll doubtless feed off her in return for platitudes. Naturally as (or if) she matures she'll crave to be taken seriously. It's not as if the history of rich hieresses (usually hopelessly spolit by a doting father) haven't got a history of implosion when they're faced with ridicule.

Personally I say long live Patsy Hearst

There are several quite sick things here. One is that she was only sent to jail after *persistently* flouting various court orders about driving, ie she had been behaving as though the law didnt apply to her, personally. She'd been taking the p*ss out of the judges for a while.

The second is that when she went to jail, she wasn't even among the usual inmates in an ordinary shared cell, she was in a separate 'celebrity' wing where they have their own rooms, &tc. And &tc, so it goes on, too tedious to recount.

It's time any spoiled brat like that was taught that the law applies to everyone, impartially. I'm totally with the judge here. Forgive me for feeling that anyone born with her advantages should use them to better purposes.

To be honest, if you passed her in the street, you'd think her rather common, I think (and there's an old-fashioned phrase for ya!). I can think of hundreds of young women I'd describe as having good looks before her. Rather horse-faced with little squinchy eyes, which are too close together. Probably hasn't got soft, long ears, either, so definitely an ungenuine type.

:) ... and I thought I was being unkind! I'm glad you said all that, Krizon.

Before this 'item' broke on to our TV screens, I couldn't have told you what she looked like. When I saw her pose for the cameras the other evening, I was quite surprised at how unattractive she is. I wouldn't use the word 'common' to describe anyone's appearance, though, as I consider myself 'common' in a general sense.

As you say, Krizon, and it's something I find myself saying a lot too, there are girls walking up and down our streets every day who are very much more attractive than very many of the so-called celebrity women', particularly the so-called models. Kate Moss?? Compare her to the eternally attractive Twiggy.

There's another with a name I can never remember but it looks and sounds like a minor Balkan state. She's got more angles on her face than a protractor. Supermodel my @rse.

That was the name I had in mind but, having googled a few pics, she looks decent to me. I've put the wrong name to the woman.

I think it must be Helena Christensen is the one I reckon was near the back of the queue when God was giving out looks.

You and I may be commoners, DO, but there's nowt common about us! :D The girl's too interested in posing all the time, doesn't seem to have any real spontaneity to her, and certainly no-one would give her a second look if she was behind the counter of a nail bar, which is where she might look best, come to think of it. "Chard'nayy? 'Ave ya gorrany Luscious Pink left for m'lidy over 'ere?"

She advertises washing powder now :what:

Apparently poor Paris is on Hunger strike now :suspect:

She sent back the Lobster Thermidor as 'insipid' and the Chateau d'Yquem as corked. Quite right, too. There's no need to put up with poor standards, even in chokey.

:D Kri I love your logic!

Paris is a sad person let's face it. The poor little rich girl that no one likes at school and people are just friends with because she can buy all the drinks. But doesn't society reward these types by pandering to their need for attention, ie putting them on the cover of everything.

She is just too much of everything, too thin, too rich and too blond. (and too thick!)
