I don't know if anyone has tried this before, but I am, at the moment, eating some of Patchwork Pate's Cointreau and Orange chicken liver pate. I've also tried their tequila and cranberry pate and both are absolutely delicious. Their range is available from delis or from their website:

Mmmmm - I'll look out for those, Triptych, cheers. Tequila & cranberry pate sounds most intriguing; I love cranberry & I'm also partial to a bot of tequila!!

Game Pie
This golden pastry encrusted, deep filled pie has a generous mixture of fur and feathered game. It’s all chunkily hand chopped in true poacher style enhanced with aromats, mushrooms and a full bodied red wine sauce. This a classic winter dish perfect for a shoot lunch, a pre-match picnic, or a weekend meal at home served piping hot with winter vegetables.

£57.85

Good god not a game price though!!

GREY its for one not a gross........... :o

That aint the most expensive....

Wild Mushroom Game Pie with Honey Mead

This autumn game pie encompasses the earthy tones of the forest with wild mushrooms and a generous mixture of seasonal game that finishes with lingering sweet tones of honey.

£73.50

...bargain! Just ordered a bakers dozen B)

Bloody hellfire! Those are the most ridiculous prices I've ever seen, unless the pies are the size of a cart.

I bought some deeelicious pies at the Food Fair at Plumpton a couple of meetings ago. The wabbit pie, with mushrooms and bacon, was fabuloso - enormous chunks of rabbit (sorry, Bugs!) in it, utterly delicious. I've still to munch the Steak & Stilton. They weigh a min. 454g, they cost about £7 each if I remember rightly (not sure now), and you can find them and others on http://www.farm2kitchen.com or tel. 01424 731599. They're made down this way, and I can 200% recommend their yumminess. :)
