Hurricane Fly beat Litrrato in 8f listed race in March, he wouldn't have beat him in the Champion Stakes in October.

The Irish are obsessed with dissing UK racing. It's boring. The Irish are better but lets be honest the last Irish Hennessy 'winner' was drugged. We're odds on to have 10+ winners again in March. UK racing is **** because of prize money. As for Hurricane Fly, I love to hate him but yes he's the greatest, better than Istabraq IMO. He's taken so many setbacks and come back a d hammered horses. I'll go broke (again) taking him on.

Has Patrick got the patience to wait for his Dad to retire or will he set up on his own and provide some competition to his father. Friends of mine had horses with Paddy and couldn't wait for Willie to start training in his own right as he was the only one of the family willing to communicate with them in any meaningful way. Patrick seems to be a very good communicator....an essential trait for a trainer in the modern day media saturated racing world...

I'm not sure the letter needed to be written. Every connection will read stuff about their horse or themselves that simply is not true. We had it ourselves (cue the McCoy book) but writing a letter serves little purpose other than in your own mind. People can make up their own mind about HF.

He's only 24. Willie is in his late 50s. I'd imagine they will stick together for another six or seven years and then the baton will be handed over.

He's young, enthusiastic, wanted to put across his feelings and I think he puts his points across very well. All power to him.
