Is there any talentless nomark he won't have on his show?

I do ask if we can't get past irrelevant and derogatory references to people's sexual preferences in the 21st Century, unless we're radical Iranians or the Taleban, in which case Mr. O'Grady would be publicly hung from the nearest crane.

Better take out my own reference to it, too, Ardross. Can't abide these terms, which have nothing to do with the person's talent. Thanks.

What difference does it make who he has on the show Euro, its on at a time when kids and grans are settling down to eat dinner and this is the sort of show that people love to watch at teatime.
I like Paul O Grady and millions of others do too. His passion for rescuing animals and keeping them on his farm makes him far more human then some other presenters I can think of.
I don't watch the show all that much, I tend to forget it's on, but when I have watched it, I have found it to be funny, no matter who the guest is.
It beats Neighbours anyday! B)

Euro - 'shirtlifter'? Is the homophobic slang of the 1950s making a comeback?

Get a grip, it`s just a word.

Double standards here. I used that word on the Caption Comp thread, no one told me it was a no no then.

Good point. It never ceases to amaze how one can come up with a (relatively) benign term and someone will mention the Taliban within the day. It`s PC gone mad a tells ya.

Holy jaysus.

The editing out of the word that began "shir" in the first post of this thread is what absolutely pisses me off in the extreme about pc in this country these days and, to only a slightly lesser extent, this forum. Before any smart arse suggests what I can do if I don't like it here I prefer to stay here and try to redress the imbalance which exists. I realised long ago that you need to be voted on to the committee to achieve any of that so I'll have to try to do it from the back benches.
The deletion has offended me greatly and I will have to see my therapist as a result. She is a........... on second thoughts I'd better not!

If you mean the moderators, please don't think that they are all as one as to what is or is not unacceptable. They are a group of individuals.

There are far more graphic expressions in use which would certainly cause furore in some quarters on here.

It is a derogatory term - about which one member of the forum complained . So I edited it out as being a breach of the forum rules .
