PDJ nightmare in the cells

Went to York for the weekend with 30 kids so had verylittle sleep.

Got back Sunday night at 9pm and went to sleep. Now the best bit

11.30pm I am woken up by banging on the door. It is the police with a search warrant to search my house for stolen property. In rather a large daze, I ask to
see the warrant and it has no mention of my name on it, merely the girlfriend of my housemate and soon to be ex friend. Turns out that she has been stealing
from Selfridges where she works for some time and has taken over 10 grand worth of items. While I was away this weekend, she thought it would be a great idea to store and hide things IN MY F***ING ROOM. So, during the search, the police find the stolen goods "in my possession" As she is not there and they don't know where she or my twat housemate are, they arrest me (yes that's right - ME!!!) for handling stolen property. I am taken to the station where I am held in
a cell for 3 hours until 4am and then released without charge as she has turned up and confessed. No lift back home for me, taxi only - no real apology, just a
mumbled one from the night desk sergeant. Now I have to get the locks changed in my house (more expense to add to the taxi fare)and tell one of my oldest friends what a F***wit he is and that I never want him or his thieving bird in my house ever again.

Roll on Aintree.......
Must admit though, that is piss funny

The Pro

I would have thought that it would have been a mixture of spectacularly annoying , surreal and as the stuff had been stored by the stupid woman in PDJ's bedroom - potentially terrifying .

Grow up

Andross
----------------

Are you for real, surreal, terrifying, and just coz i found it funny why do i need to grow up ??? I didnt see you giving brian stick for asking him for armani ? Im sure he'll look back on it in the future with the lads and have a giggle. Im also sure pdj will take some ribbing of his m8's about it in the pub. So please ardross dont be so judgemental of people, becoz beleive you me i dont need to grow up, ive been through the mill and back twice. But i see this board as being alright for one but not the other, which is a shame really.

PDJ is more than capable of fighting his own battles but I make two points (a) in my experience there are few more terrifying things than being accused of a crime that you did not commit with all the potential knock on effects that this might have on your life and work, had she not confessed the consequences could have been serious and (B) recollected in tranquillity with friends yes you might regard such incidents as " funny " - a few days after someone you don't know declaring it to be piss funny is unlikely to be amusing .

And if you continue to be abusive I will delete your posts all day long

Abusive ? Where and when have i been that on these forums ?? Would you like if you came over to oh racing and i deleted all your posts for no apperant reason.

It didn't read that way but fine point taken I will remove the grow up comments .
Thankyou, I apologise to pdj if he took it the wrong way, i hope this is the end of it as im not here to cause any trouble. And hope we can get along on both websites. ;)

Ardross think your a bit out of line there The Pro clearly did not mean any trouble and referring to "deleting your messages all day long" ,just because you can, to a new member does not exactly help the forum.

Is there some grumpy dust being scattered through cyber-spoace via our forum?

I think we're all definitely out of sorts, judging by the mayhem going on - maybe it's time for Forum 101............. I'll go off and start it, shall I? B)

Derek has made a suggestion under the Venn Ottery thread that maybe threads that get locked for contentious reasons should in fact be deleted.

Any views on this?

I don't see why they should be deleted - surely any offensive posts are going to have been edited by moderators anyway? I do think it's a little heavy handed to go deleting everything that's been locked, especially as there are likely to be valid points & discussions on locked threads that added in no way to the locking of the thread & it seems unfair to delete them just because there were one or two contentious points on there.

I'd also like to point out that he mentioned it on the Venn Ottery thread, about the Venn Ottery thread, which is still open for use. If people want to bring up contentious points from the past, they are going to regardless of whether the original thread still exists or not.

Hey sl.

Whatever float you boat. :D

Of course, had my suggestion been followed a while back.I would never have read your post refering to Betting Shop Customers as "those B-----ds"
:D
