my baby played with my laptop and ever since i have to press the "Fn" button otherwise when i press any button with a little blue number or character then that takes priority. she has locked the function button-help

or it might be a secondary function of another key and therefore be written on the side or a symbol in the corner etc.
 
i dont have the one pictured i dont know what the symbol looks like and what i have to press with it to unlock it - all help appreciated guys.
 
I'd love to help Harry but I'm pretty useless, however I'll venture 'scroll lock' if its a toggle switch? but you'd probably be better of waiting for someone who knows what they're on about to pass through.

Provided the thread can be deleted when its solved, I wouldn't have thought under the circumstances and in the interests of humanity and decency, that with a moderators permission, it wouldn't really be to much of a breach of protocol to temporarily host the plea in the racing area where the traffic is obviously denser? I'd PM a moderator etc
 
Alternatively it could be one of the keyboard overlays is on. Try FN+F10 or FN+F11. I am not sure which. Do you have the manual? :)
