Looks like no one outside of racing will notice - for what thats worth but

racing goes ahead after numerous inspections at 1.20pm - first race 1.50
tons of non runners
one hurdle omitted due to ground

first race is a 2m hurdle - first three in the betting out
Low sun and jockeys inspect hurdles up the straight before first race (if taken out, would be only two hurdles jumped)
Hurdles left in
Horse dies taking a strange jump at one of the hurdles, jockey gets kicked in head
Second race, no discernable change in conditions
Hurdles taken out of race
2 hurdles in 2m4f race

A mess

Well yes and me as at yard this morning when runners setting off on 3 hour plus one way trip with no idea if on, and then M25 shut.....just looked up result of 2.20....thought i had misread only 2 hurdles jumped, I thought initially meant only 2 hurdles in back straight, or even each circuit..... long way to go and either not get there, as some withdrawn 'cos couldn't get there in time, or get there and basically run a flat race :(
Obviously glad they felt they could go ahead as another meeting abandoned today but.....
