I think his father should give him a good clip in the ear. And when Hewitt is finished The Prince of Wales should have a word too.

Can there be few more convincing arguments for the abolition of the monarchy than this young man ?
 
Is it really such a huge surprise that the Royal Family should turn out to be nazi's?

Or perhaps he was merely trying to restore the swastika to it's rightful place as a symbol of peace? In which case, he should be given a medal.

Surely it's just his way of sticking two fingers up at everyone.

Priviledged as he may be, he's had a shocking life, and for once, everybody else is to blame.
 
Oh please - such a shocking life . Sadly lots of children lose a parent . They don't however otherwise live in the lap of luxury given every privilege money and rank can buy .

There are suggestions he should join the delegation to Auschwitz at the end of the month - sounds like a good idea to me

But they don't have to live with the accusations that their dead mother was having adulterous affairs and that you are the product of one of them, various theories about his mother being murdered on the instruction of his father's family, family confidents spilling secrets out to the press etc etc that have stretched out for years.

And the public only too willing to gobble every news item up.
 
I am obviously in the minority but I feel sorry for Prince Harry. He has had a shite life in many ways. His Mum died, he is probably not 100% sure who his Dad is (and what a great choice). He was born into a Royal life which he clearly does not enjoy. All he appears to want to do is be a normal teenager, doing what normal teenagers do which includes getting drunk and threatening photographers who continually hound him. He is probably sticking 2 fingers up at alot of people and I for one, do not blame him one iota. He must get really frustrated at times. I am sure he would be far happier getting drunk in South Africa with his gorgeous girlfriend. I am sure being born into a Royal Family is a priviledge for some, but I think Harry would rather (at times) he was a plain commoner. Wearing the Nazi uniform was ill advised but I for one would not to live my life like he has to live his.

You have to remember that the prince's great, great uncle (and his wife) were fans of the Nazis and, had the result gone the other way, he would have been put in charge of Britain.
 
I'm afraid that my German is very limited. I am quite well up on European history but, of course, am always interested in adding to my knowledge. To which section do you want to draw my attention?

just a general point that the the UK and Germany had very close relationships (as countries) long before the second world war.

VICTORIA was married to a fine German Prince by the name of ALBERT

She was also the daughter of Edward the Duke of Kent and Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg
Of course Prince Albert was not very popular with the British (it was always so)

and it took seveteen years of marraige before he was awarded the title of Prince

Consort.

The relationship between the two countries goes back centuries,and they never really got on with one another.


Oddly, it took an Austrian to really mess things up,and we still have not managed to recover from it.
