Prix ganay

Agree with that. Soumi was taking no prisoners. Treve will turn that around in big time style on better ground if they meet at RA.

sounds like cirrus won't go to RA. unlikely to get soft ground there anyway.

which makes the 2/1 for treve mildly tempting but not sure who else is going to turn up. likes of magician/fugue/rotw couldn't be dismissed lightly.

ROTW surely wouldn't be involved unless the ground is soft.

Be interesting to see if Hannon sticks Toronado or Olympic Glory in the race, I wouldn't have thought they'd both run in the Queen Anne.

toronado queen anne bound going off what he said. olympic glory going in the lockinge. not sure of RA targets for him after that. they did suggest trying to keep them apart.

Dettori was a good deal easier on her than Soumillon was on CDA . CDA running much better this year than last . Far too soon to write Treve off as not having made improvement she led and got tired in very soft ground.

I think Dettori hit the mare 9 times with the whip and Soumillon 4 or 5,
the gelding was going away at the finish.

Can't but love the old boy Cirrus. Still doing it at 8.

Actually quite impressed by Treve today. Appeared to labour a bit in the ground. Certainly didn't have her usual instant injection of pace and was off the bridle very early. Still, she did at least show that she was willing to fight. Ultimately was run out of it by match fitness.
She will still be hard to beat at Ascot, especially on better ground. Though Magician is a very good horse and is the one to worry about.
Cirrus will probably end up in the Coronation Cup as will ROTW.

The ground will dictate where Toronado and OG run. OG will most likely run in France a bit this season in the races Goldikova used to run in.

You THINK Dettori hit her nine times, really? I've watched the race a half dozen time and it is not even close to nine times and compared to Soumi's overhead smacks no more than 4-5 basic reminders. I love Cirrus but he won't be troubling this filly again.

Not to take anything away from CDA or those who supported him, but I was left with the distinct impression that Frankie could have won, had he wanted to.
No idea who did the commentary for ATR, but I'd swear it was the same accent as the gendarme from 'Allo 'Allo.

both of them are hit 4 or 5 times - 3 of Dettori's between the 3 and 2 poles - Soumi 3 times around the 2 pole. Neither of them were particularly hard on their horses.

A great race.
More to come from the filly surely (hopefully).
Cirrus deserves every accolade he gets to hold his form year in year out as do his connections.

Very good run from Treve considering she was getting just the 3lb fillies allowance this time, rather than the 11lb Orfevre had to give her in October. No doubt at all that Cirrus deserved it though.

Interesting that Soumillon said that Cirrus felt right back to his best compared to last season.
