Quiz Night Live

It's a nonsense: the instructions are all in words, apart from the number '2'. You're instructed to 'add up all the numbers' which countermands the first instruction. The only number expressed in a figure is number 2. Therefore, the logical answer is 2. No. 2 - a bit like the quiz, innit? :D

I watched this a few weeks ago with the sound down, and the lady presenting it looked the spit of the actress who played Steve Macdonald`s missus in Corrie. Fit as fcuk.

Here's a question for you all. Should the BBC be allowed to show a similar thing on one of their channels overnight ? In return the license fee is scrapped/reduced.
Nice one cf

I do hope that everyone who was watching last night never rings up again having seen how blatantly they will get screwed over. Sadly, I know they will....

I want to know how that complies with the clue to add all the numbers, please? I had every combination that everyone else had, bar cf's very weird idea.

Never seen it, but presumedly with about 2 dozen possible answers, someone just sits in the back room crossing them all off as the phone bills mount, until such time as the final person rings in and nominates the only plausible one left standing, and then they go YESSSSSSSS our winner is.......BT

From the FAQs on the Quiz Night Live website:

What logic has been used?
Unfortunately we are unable to publish the logic of our puzzles as this is part of the game play and the fascination and fun of these cryptic puzzles. Each puzzle is carefully worked out according to a strict set of rules and checked many times over by the production team before the game is played. There is only one correct answer to each puzzle, which is lodged with an independent adjudicator. Members of the public may not contact the independent adjudicator directly – if you have specific concerns please contact ICSTIS ( the premium rate services regulator) who can investigate if they feel a breach has occurred. Send your complaint in writing to: icstis, FREEPOST WC5468, London, SE1 2BR.
