Sorry to clutter the banter with this lads, and I realise most of you are in Ireland so won't be remotely interested, but tessa Westlake who runs the racehorse rehoming centre that I'm involved with down in Chard, Somerset was broken into last night. They've had her sons car and some sundries,but worse than all of that they have taken the iPad and laptop that had all the stuff for our fundraising and the big fundraiser details and stuff on, as well as tessa's own iPad.

Bunch of lowlife scum - if people could keep their eyes open for being offered anything or if they hear anything please please can they let us know - on top of everything else that's going on the last thing we needed was this... :(
 
Awful to hear that :( I hope they get whoever did it and you hopefully get most of the stuff back!
 
Hi Trudi, I'm sorry to hear about that and hope beyond hope that they catch the thieving wankers. Public flogging should be in order.

I hope your belongings turn up.
 
Thanks people :/ the worst bit isn't even really that she's lost all the stuff for the charity, we can probably remember most of the most important things there - there were photos of her mum and dad on there and all sorts of sentimental pictures of horses she's helped and had over the years - it's just horrible.
Really don't understand people sometimes :(

Don't know if any help but a guy on the radio a couple of weeks back who had his ipad stolen from table in a pub ended up tracking it and tracing it to a road, luckily not numerous houses but knocked on all the doors and fourth one owned up to taking it. Bluffed about was going to hand it in etc but he got it back . He had called the police to tell them he was tracking it and they told him to leave it but he persisted.
 
I'm sorry - I didn't mean that about the irish contingent quite how it came out-I meant more that you were unlikely to find yourselves being offered anything!!

The iPads and the iPhone have all been wiped and the tracker things disabled - the police got in touch with apple to see if they could help that way but no :(

On a slightly brighter note, I realised this afternoon that one of them will have the nearly naked photos of me and the builder for the calendar - so it might all get returned pretty speedily.... ;)
 
They've got him!! Went down today to try and do some more pics and just as we arrived got thrown in tessas car and we whizzed off to some place in the back end of illminster where we walked around for hours searching for the lad who had tried to nick a car in illminster and done a runner - narrowed it down and between us and the police they caught him hiding in a pub car park !!!!!

No, we haven't got anything back yet - to be honest all we wanted is the car, max worked so hard to get it and pay for everything himself it's his pride and joy. It was seen yesterday morning locally though - that's what started everything off. Hopefully the cars not too far away! The important bit is that they've got him (and his girlfriend!) and the justice system and karma do their thing!!

So happy :D
 
Well done for tracking this guy down and making sure he didn't get away with it. That in itself is a public service.
 
They did brilliantly - was pure chance that he went where tessa grew up so she knew exactly where all the best hiding places were etc - just got to hope that they can pin it all down now. Have a horrible feeling its going to hinge on finding the car :0/
