Terrific achievement by AOB and super game performance by the winner. Can't help feeling that thanks should go to Oisin Murphy who should have held on to Roaring Lion quite a bit longer . Dettori gave a masterclass in delivering a horse late on Nebo in the Horris Hill and had he held on to Roaring Lion he would have won .

Verbal Dexterity ran an odd race missed the break scrubbed along looked like he might drop out but battled on for fourth.

Yeah Verbal Dexterity lost all chance early on I thought

Congrats to AOB and all at Ballydoyle. Massive firepower at his disposal of course but still a fantastic training performance

Two weeks in a row that Ryan has pulled it out of the fire.I think Saxon Warrior will prove to be the best horse in the race but wouldn't mind backing Verbal Dexterity to win Irish Derby.

A huge achievement by AOB. It's put into perspective when you consider that even though he won an unprecedented eight of the ten classics in Britain and Ireland he still needed another 18 Gr1 races to beat the record.

Twenty one years since Desert King won him his first group 1 ( six days after winning a Tralee maiden ) he has won 300 since, an average of 14 a year every year. Capri's irish Derby was number 10 and there was a four week lull between Roly Poly 's Falmouth and Deauville wins.
What are the chances he tops 30 this year if Saint Cloud can be rearranged along with Breeders Cup etc.
Hats off to all involved.
