Before I could open their site and type in search EG Kauto Star and all his races they covered would come up instantly.

That easy to underatand and operate feature no longer exists.

Before if you wanted to go back to say Cheltenham March 2008 2 clicks and you were there.

Now as far as I can see you have to sit there like aloonely click click clicking for 10 minutes to go back to that date.

The idiot that worked on this should be sacked for what is a disaster.

I actually called them to moan about recent changes to their iOS app the other day. Some fuckwit has decided anybody watching live TV or replays on their tablet or mobile device should now only be able to watch it in portrait mode

Turning your device now makes no difference so you have to start the program or race and then click full screen icon before rotating your device but then it zooms in so much you lose half the screen.

Exactly. The developers at RTV are like many IT departments and feel the need to solve problems that don’t actually exist with unforeseen consequences usually harming things that work perfectly well

It's the same when the RP revamped a number of years ago. Starting to type a name in the search facility seldom got you anywhere near the horse you wanted to research. I found I pretty much ended up having to type in the entire name of the horse before getting to the right one.

My complaint about it got me nowhere. They seem to think what they have is better than before.

I also absolutely hate sites that don't let you open links in a new tab. The revamp looks nice, but it's a big step back in terms of functionality.

I gave it a go to see for myself.

I'm not seeing that it's operating any differently from before although KS isn't necessarily one I'd have found myself researching. His race record came up for the last couple of years of his racing career but no video replays. Maybe with the revamp they had to prioritise more recent information.

Maybe once it's all bedded in they will be able to go back and add the videos but did RTV actually exist back then?

'Dirt handiaps' are mostly on ATR tracks,or in the evening.
