Is everywhere else having crazy rain today? Has been thundering down all day, and it appears to be getting even harder now.

I'm in Tallaght. Its as bad as the rain we had down in Cork two weeks ago that flooded Newcastlewest and Mallow.

Not good for the hurling tomorrow. God is ruining God's game.

Had loads at Ascot earlier but long dry periods interspersed too. I've seen a hell of a lot worse, usually in Gib or elsewhere abroad admittedly (why is it that it rarely rains properly in this country?). Maybe it's yet to hit us!

It was pretty soggy at Newmarket all day oh great Leader... just cleared up for the last couple but by then we on the outside were sodden!! :(

Judging by the pictures from Blanchardstwon, it must have fairly bucketed down in Dublin. Wasn't too bad where I am (near Drogheda). Rained all afternoon, but nothing torrential.

I hear next Friday's to be a nice enough day though. :p:(

God I'm such a fucking eejit.. and to make matters worse I can't seem to edit the post now for some reason..

The shame...:o

Erm... the general point still stands though! :D

Remarkably the post is now edited. My prayers answered.... :D

Appologies especially must go to raceylady.. welcome to the forum..:o;)

I just read that the Tolka has burst it's banks. Anyone need a supply of supermarket trolleys?

Pissing down again here. It was grand all morning - took the mutt for a walk and was caught in a squall. Luckily, I was only around 200 yards from the local watering hole at the time! :D

I never use an umbrella - poxy, annoying things - and people are often offering them to me, especially on the track. It's only water, after all!

No Colin, I took her in - she's good as gold. Until she starts dragging the chair she's tied to halfway across the bar so she can lie down in another spot.....amused a fair few people doing that!!

I was on a stable visit last year and it was pissing down. I was surprised when a couple of the work riders put up some of those small fold up umbrellas and cradled them in their hands between the reins as they rode work. Is this a normal thing, Shadow?

It seems to rain an awful lot more in Ireland (Cork anyway) than London, which is a little strange, and depressing.

It cannot be raining anywhere more than it is in my little part of Devon today! Grrrr. Weird stuff, like a blanket of water and then a teeny bit of sun. Just to fool you. As soon as you think it is safe to come out again, sky darkens immediately and opens!

Pissing down up here as usual. If I didn`t have three weeks in sunny Thailand to look forward to in December I would be suicidal.
