On my way to Perth today I got talking to a couple of guys who told me they often get free race days via Rewards For Racing.

I've heard of RFR and will now google it but would appreciate any info based on first-hand experience of it.

As ever, thanks in advance.

I've used it quite a lot in the past.

If you buy anything on line, it pays to have a look if the seller is a partner of R4R, then click through their site before purchasing. I get my groceries delivered from Iceland and they are partners but if I don't always get the relevant points because the stores deals cancel them out.

I have used points for Race attendance too. For me built up mainly on betting turnover: You can link Bet365 (or Bet0 as I now must call them), Betfair and Betfred to your account), if you have a Racing TV subscription (as you do) and/or Racing Post subscription they give you 50 and 75 points per month (can't remember which is which).

Also points for original registration depending on amount of info given. Quick 5 points a week for easy quiz question. Most of rest is by spending via their links to partners.

It is a good little perk if you want to go racing and are spending the money anyway.

Most unlike you to be late to the party for a freebie, Maurice. 😂

Until they restrict you, BetfairSportsBook and Bet365 used to let you accrue something like £20 a month in points and I still have a stockpile (it would be rude not to) of them from years ago as I can hardly ever be bothered to go racing any more.

Yeah, I never bothered with any of that.

Even after doing a couple of Windsors and a Sandown Park since December, I think I've still got over £400s worth of points unused - trouble is I cba to go most of the time and half the time I do it's because someone has offered me a freebie.

I guess I'll get round to using them....eventually! 😂
