Rishi Persad and more diversity in horse racing

The danger of question of sport becoming more bland and less edgy as a result of a presenter change was always moot.

If there is no appreciable difference between a white presenter and one from a minority background, then give it to the person from the minority. The privilege of being white is baked into the system.

While Rishi isn't great, he isn't the worst, is a safe pair of hands, and there are plenty worse commentators in the sport who are earning a living while being white.

Ex - used to play for Arsenal, has been seen being a 'pundit' on men's football programmes. Was also on Strictly where Kevin Clifton got her through 2 rounds she wouldn't have done with her actual partner who had an injury for 3 weeks.

Thanks.

I don't watch The One Show or Strictly.

Ignorance can be bliss.

As for racing presenters and/or pundits, I don't give a shiit what colour, creed or orientation they are as long as they can do the job better than others.
