The New One might not have been at his best that day. Before that, At Fishers Cross wouldn't have been considered seriously for this race. He's favourite on that one performance. If it's true he should win, if not...

The Cheltenham handicap before that in which Inish Island was second was a good race too, Medinas was fourth that day.

I don't know has this been discussed here but any thoughts on the Henderson mare? The allowance is handy, but more so her Grade 1 (over fences) form in France, her experience and her stepping up are all positives.

Our Vinnie should go well.

I thought PA ran really well but people got sucked into the hype. It always happens. He's still a really good horse, just not better than Sprinter Sacre!

Not especially, think his beating of Rule The World still reads fairly well. He's a stout stayer and that's what you need for the race. That said, the favourite has solid credentials.

With most of the opposition gone west hard to see how AP can get this beat. African Gold's form boosted but that was over a much shorter trip.
