Kempes had a nice spin over hurdles at Cork. We might just see him return to form here.

Del Boy gets lucky more often than Kempes and that's not saying much. Think Rubi Light is the improver here and if over his infection could be dangerous with trip and ground ideal.

I'm with you OTB, Rubi light looks a real improver to me and should get a decent price with that field.

OK I have priced it. Very difficult task given that some of these will probably run in the Hilly Way Chase. I'm certain I've a few ricks in there but just for fun:

11/4 Golden Silver
11/4 Tranquil Sea
9/2 Rubi Light
7/1 Noble Prince
9/1 Joncol
10/1 Kempes
10/1 Forpadydeplasterer
16/1 Bostons Angel
20/1 Blazing Tempo
20/1 Follow The Plan
20/1 Cooldine
20/1 Roberto Goldback
25/1 Quito De La Roque
33/1 Roi Du Mee
33/1 Trafford Lad
DBT Sizing Europe
DBT Kauto Stone

Hard to price Noble Prince than any other runner. I really don't know where I am with his form. I can't have him as being a 160 horse on soft ground.

I would think Golden Silver will win the Hilly Way Chase so:

2/1 Tranquil Sea
4/1 Rubi Light
11/2 Noble Prince
8/1 Joncol
10/1 Kempes
10/1 Forpadydeplasterer
12/1 Bostons Angel
12/1 Blazing Tempo
16/1 Follow The Plan
16/1 Cooldine
16/1 Roberto Goldback
25/1 Quito De La Roque
33/1 Roi Du Mee
33/1 Trafford Lad

The 7/1 about Noble Prince was the one that I noted, Slim, though I understand your reservations. I'd be layer of Tranquil Sea and probably Joncol at the prices, and might fancy an e/w interest in Quito too, but otherwise I think you've done a fair job with your book.

You'll probably now tell me it's 400% over-round.

He's not a 160 horse on Soft ground - he's not a 150 horse on heavy which is what it will be if the forecast is anything to go by.

It was 171% originally. I edited quickly so no one would notice! I think Tranquil Sea is entitled to be favourite but perhaps 2/1 is a bit shy.

On heavy going Rubi Light comes right into it. If there's going to be an upset it will be Roberto Goldback. I can't have it that he was off on his last run.

Anyone know what's going on with Realt Dubh?

I thought he might be stepped up in trip and aimed at this. Does he stay over 2m this season? Is he injured?

Rubi Light for me too.

Realt Dubh had a setback in October says Meade and had to slow down his work, post Christmas before he is out.

Well I did leave two words out, it was a 'minor' setback and but his work was slowed down 'completely' - so unlikely you are right Hezz but then again possibly you are!

Hopefully i'm wrong. Really like the horse.

Pity, as Leopardardstown in December really is his conditions.

This is a much hotter-looking Durkan than the one he won last year, granger. I have him as a high-class handicapper/G2 performer, and don't think he has the tools to get the job done in this race, against the likely opposition.

I would be place-and-win laying him for my Jackson's, if he was anything like 2/1 in the real market.

Joncol is bog at that 8/1, I don't see him being anything like that on the day. This is TS's ground and trip Grassy, i woudn't be ruling him out at all
