Sandown meeting Sat 4th Feb

Interesting Buveur entered up here but expect him to run in the Scilly Isles instead

Edit: Apparently now heads to Kelso for the Morebattle after Champion Hurdle confirmed as festival target

I've some ideas on the Betfred 'Heroes' handicap hurdle but I've not had a chance to back the horse I fancy yet, but when I do, I'll post it up! :)

They've priced up the Betfred Heroes Handicap Hurdle. FWIW here's my idea of the value.

Rolling Dylan has been installed as favourite.
He was second behind Shantou Bob last time. Shantou Bob boosted that form when a respectable fifth against Unowhatimeanharry.

The horse I fancy that finished third behind the above, is Desert Sensation. The headgear is clearly helping the 5 year old. He's won twice around right handed tracks this season, so Sandown should be right up his street.

He arguably looks more progressive than Rolling Dylan. I reckon he'll make a bold bid from the front.

The bookies are giving nothing away going 5/1 on Rolling Dylan, but 14/1 certainly looks value on Desert Sensation.

Rolling Dylan is very consistant and may find most to from the horse next door El Terremoto who got lost in the fog last time his rider no idea if he'd won or not lol

With Yanworth now out it seems Buveur d'Air will run in the Contenders after all. I'm expecting another twist in this tale [emoji848]

Desert Sensation second favourite behind Rolling Dylan now. Best priced 8/1 with Corals.

Not that that matters to the Brandy soaked prick that trains him. He's cost me a fair wedge this season.

They experimented with a tongue tie at Cheltenham but it didn't work, horse hated it. Think they need to win a race with Vyta Du Roc pretty soon to get into the GN.

STD jocked off Clan des Obeaux in favour of Sean Bowen - after the ride he gave the horse in the Dipper no surprise .

Not sure jocked off is the right word. He's chosen Politologue over CDO for Cheltenham so they want to get Sean acquainted with him before the day. Not sure it's really relevant as CDO needs soft ground which doesn't happen that often at the Festival.
