Good afternoon.
I fancy a couple today.
The first is:
Guetapan Collonges - Uttoxeter 2.45
Did you know he's a full brother to Fontaine Collonges, trained by Venetia Williams? That is a rising talent who won nicely at Haydock over 3m 1 1/2f earlier this season. I think GC will stay and stay.
He was beaten by Iwilldoit lto where he ran on again at the death, having dropped back round the home turn. I backed Iwilldoit that day and that was a good class race, no doubt.
I've no idea what the future plans are for GC but the Eider looks ideal for him although may come a bit soon after today.
However, a decent win today might get him into the Midlands Grand National, another race that would suit but he'd need to go up all of 10Lbs to get in.
Whatever occurs today, tis fellow is bred to stay and stay again. When you look at him, he's a big-framed lad and will strengthen up considerably as he gets older. I like the cut of his jib.
Also, i would recommend you watching the last run of:
Asadjumeirah (7.30 Wolv). 8/1 Ew
He made very nice headway that day @ Newcastle over 6f and could well appreciate this extra furlong.
He won on Feb 10th last year and is rated 5Lbs lower than his last win on the AW @ Newcastle. He won't mind the tapeta surface.
Given that, he looks a decent ew bet at the current fantastic 8/1.
I really do recommend you watch his last run. (26 Jan Newc 7.30)
This would be my strongest fancy of the day.
Good luck
