Gone But Not Forgotten
I am moving the hosting over the next 48 hours to a more reliable (hopefully) service, so won't have a repeat of the forum being offline for the whole of Cheltenham again.
Just a couple of things for people to be aware of
We have to copy the whole database over, I intend to try to leave the forum online, but if you login and get a 'forum closed' message, thats why.
There may be some posts lost during the move. Once the database copy starts, it is likely to take a couple of hours. Any posts during that time will be lost, as obviously if it doesn't get copied then it won't be on the new server.
I will also have to switch the domain to point at the new hosting, while it should be instant for most, it can take up to 24 hours to go through on some ISP's. I would suggest, if you can't see any new posts, using CTRL and F5 at the same time to do a 'hard' refresh of the page
If you still can't access the updated sites, you could try flushing your DNS using the instructions below
https://support.pearson.com/getsupport/s/article/Reset-an-Internet-Connection-Flush-DNS
but I would suggest that shouldn't be needed in most cases.
If you are going to post anything important, I suggest you keep a local copy in case you need to repost.
I'll keep the thread updated as and when I can.
