Don't know if anything will change but thought I would post just so people know

Important Update

As you may already be aware, yesterday we announced the sale of Sky Betting & Gaming to private equity firm CVC Partners, ending our 13 years of being wholly owned by bskyb (Sky). Sky still hold a minority stake in Sky Betting & Gaming and we will continue to trade under the Sky brand names.

Please rest assured that it is very much business as usual for us as we continue to grow our UK presence whilst looking to expand into Europe in the not too distant future. This sale gives us the best of both worlds, with us keeping the Sky branding whilst having the benefits of being independent, such as the aforementioned plans to expand our business beyond the UK.

I hope this means that from now on the video form on Sporting Life can be accessed without having to have a Skybet account.

Can't see why that would be a problem? I've had a nominal account with them for about 2 years; not a penny has changed hands between us but I'm able to watch replays from both racing channels merely by signing in.
It could also go the other way, of course, and - like those parsimonious pirates from RUK - they insist on a subscription before one's allowed any access to past races at all.

I like Skybet !
They give me price boosts on nearly virtually every second race each day.
They give me a free £10 bet every week if I bet a total of £100 in that week.
They have never limited me, gubbed me, or restricted my betting limits.
They enable me to watch replay and live racing.

I am displeased to read that a new ownership is taking over the operation.

(A nice PriceBoost arb is available at present on Skybet -- Arsenal/Liverpool/Tottenham all to win 7.0. Betfair Lay at 5.9.) :ninja:

I'm a bit unsure what this means?

Here's Skybet's head office reception

But CVC Partners paid $1.13billion for the business?
I query if a savvy outfit like CVC would be so flaithulach to expend so much on a "corner-shop" operation?

When I was in Australia I used Identitycloaker Art. Not expensive but will show your IP address to be in Ireland or the UK if you prefer.

A poor reflection on you, dear boy.

The foxy punter doesn't get his bookie account(s) throttled. There are workarounds to avoid it happening.

Foxy? That's the colour of the gee of the hooker I used after the first account was closed.

That has it uses but firms an now tell if you are using the same computer/device as a previous account with them. It won't stop you getting closed in the long run. I'm at the stage where I now realise the best use of an account is to deposit a large amount on an advantageous day and place as many good bets as you can. You'll get closed at the same rate but you'll either win big or lose big. Pissing around trying to mug up accounts just doesn't work any more. The game has changed. Evolve or die.

Delete Iesnare from the computer ( Iesnare has almost certainly been planted on the device if you have ever logged into a bookmaker site or gaming site). Then change the M.A.C. address of the computer, and you should be good to go.
But it is all a bit of a pain in the arris, I will admit.
