For whatever reason, I cannot use smilies, fonts, insert link etc etc. I'm using Firefox 3.0.10. These things used to work, but no more. Anyone have same experience? Anyone have any solutions?

Not a browser issue, then.

Which OS are you using?

Do you have similar problems on other sites?

Are you using any kind of anti-virus software?

Might be a browser issue -- 3.0.5 is not the latest -- 3.0.10 is. XP at home & Win 2000 at work. No similar problems elsewhere. AVG at home, McAffee at work. Was all ok until about 1 week ago (think that's when FFox went to 3.0.09, shortly after went to 3.0.10).

Try updating Firefox to the latest and clear your caches.

Post counts have been removed on purpose (Gal can explain :))

Location only shows up if the member has actually filled it out on their profile.

As I said, I'm on the latest version of FFox.
This is posted using IE ..... :p

Guess what? This is different, isn't it?

So, either FFox 3.0.09 &/or 3.0.10 introduced a bug, or they cleaned up some non-compliant styling whatever, or the forum code is .... whatever.

I don't like using IE and it's only in cases like this -- investigative or when a site itself has something I must have and it's only available if I use IE -- that I'll use it.

Tried clearing you cache in Firefox?

Also go to Tools -> Options -> Content and make sure Javascript is enabled.

I have Windows XP and Virgin PCGuard, I've done the Tools-Options-Java check (all correct), so will now attempt to put up a whistling smiley. Here he is:

Krizon,
Assuming you're using Firefox, clearing the cache did the trick for my FFox ...
(Tools ... Clear Private Data ... just 'Cache' ticked.)

Grey - it's what I do every full moon, to accommodate the fangs...

mrussell - nope, not using Firefox now. Did for a while, but it clogged stuff up so I deleted it. Trust me to not find the cure. I'll just have to resort to :-(

Basically trying to get as many new people to get involved with the forum as possible rather than just looking in. Alot of the feedback from PMs and stuff is it can be a little off putting for a newbie to get stuck in amongst people who are clearly established on the forum with in many cases thousands of posts. So if getting rid of it helps then so be it. Needless to say it is only something small but sure it cannot do any harm.

Gal, I thought that you said when we got to 10,000, Talking Horses' moderators paid for a trip to Laytown? You don't imagine I've been doing this much rabbitting for FUN, do you??
