Snow

Meant to post this earlier but all travel plans went fine; left an hour early and ran for the 3.40 train. Plenty of seats which was hard to understand as Euston was very crowded and every second manchester train was cancelled. Could have been lucky as Euston was the feature item on BBC news that night as an example of how bad the trains were. Virgin trains quite nice - Northern rail to manchester airport from Crewe less so. Airport functions quite well I imagine? Much less hassle than Heathrow and Gatwick (T5 aside), and the security process is technologically and common sense wise much better.

It's back. What better way to celebrate than on a train stuck at a station because there's a broken down train 3 stations in front, with another waiting at a station inbetween, at nearly 1am, for good measure. Now, if only I were in a carriage with some Germans moaning about how crap this country is, wait a minute, I am!

Feel free to move post to "Racism" thread if more appropriate.

Two daughters, two cars, two accidents on the same corner (about 200 yards from home) within ten minutes of each other.

The good news no-one was hurt.

Not a good day for the Phillips family.

I have cleared my path and salted it at first light this morning. I have Latvians living next door to me now, it will be interesting to see how they shape up!
Will the warm front prevail over the cold behind?

Glad they are both ok Colin

no snow here at all - and its warmed up so much even all the ice that we had has gone. Dog is celebrating by digging double the holes in the back garden to make up for not being able to do any yesterday...

Still getting tears from the younger one, Troods, but she is always close to tears in stressful situations.

Just a matter of sorting out the insurance and getting mobile again.

Snow has disappeared here now.

Thanks for the message.
