Songs Stuck In Your Head

Hunneyb you must be really weird cos the Boxer is the song that frequently comes into my mind.

Since picking thorns out of Lizzie the dogs belly earlier, I keep singing Thorn In My Side

I love the sound of that song, Griffin, but I don't know the words (apart from the title!), but it's one I hum quite a bit. (And probably best left like that, too, with my B-flat tones!)

There aren't many words so it's a fairly easy one to sing to :D

Thorn in my side.
You know that's all you ever were.
A bundle of lies.
You know that's all that it was worth...
I should have known better
But I trusted you at first.
I should have known better
But I got what I deserved...

To run away from you
Was all that I could do.
To run away from you
Was all that I could do.

Thorn in my side.
You know that's all you'll ever be.
So don't think you know better
'Cause that's what you mean to me...
I was feeling complicated.
I was feeling low.
Now everytime I think of you
I shiver to the bone...

(Chorus repeats... )

You ever try singing the lyrics of one song to another one's tune? I've tried that to 'The Ride of the Valkyrie', Griffin, and it works really well! (I've just tried singing it and fitting the long lines in, and made a right Horlicks of it. I'm also so flat, I can't stand myself. It's sad, not having a voice remotely made for singing.) But thanks for putting up the lyrics - I'll persevere in the car, where the yowling won't annoy the neighbours.

Speaking of which......... :teeth: the house opposite has a new intake of foreign students. Not content with not being the next Jimi Hendrix, the wannabe electric guitarist has now hoisted out a bloody trumpet! And he's NBG on that, too! Aiiiieeeeeee!

At present following a discussion on rude playground songs on another forum it's a variation on the chorus of Wannabe.

Thanks T. This is a great Forum.
Sorry your double flunked. She wouldn't have won with a clear round so don't be too pissed off.

I no a song that'll get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves, i no a song that'll get on your nerves, get get get on your nerves.
