Every now and then a song comes on the radio that you hadn't heard for ages and you'd completely forgotten what a good track it was.

Today's offering.A bad case of loving you - Robert Palmer.

I don't really forget about songs but some days a song gets in my head I know, or yes maybe forgot how good it was, can't remove it and have to get on you tube to listen to it, then that clears it from my mind.

I was listening to a bit of Simply Red earlier and I do like the songs. Just something different about them I reckon in terms of sound, a bit of authenticity there.

I found myself completely escaping from the shite happening on this planet while listening earlier.

Early Simply Red was excellent but Mick Hucknall is a world class tosser.

Just about the only stand up comic that my Mom liked. I have fond memories of her laughing that hard I think the tears ran down her legs.
Saw him at Leeds Grand Theatre, around 1980, 81. Funny guy, natural storyteller, who didn't need foul language to get on, unlike his contemporaries at the time B. Manning + Roy Chubby Brown.....
Mind you. I found them funny as well 😆

That's what my mom always liked about him that he could make people laugh with swearing or being nasty. For me I don't mind. I always think Dave chapelle is the master of of comedy. Although there are a lot of comedians I've liked from times gone by . I always thought Dave Allen was a master of the craft also.

This topic drove me to checking out my old 45s and I have a (short) list.

Known to most:
I Can't Let Go - Hollies
Ohio - CSNY
It's Different For Girls - Joe Jackson

Maybe less well-known:
Listen To The Radio (Atmospherics) - Tom Robinson
The Great Banana Hoax - Electric Prunes
Say You Don't Mind - Denny Laine
