Divers has a big pot in hims this year and it wouldn't surprise me if this was it. Assuming Lee doesn't overdo the waiting tactics.

Quantitativeasing only carried 3lb less than Great Endeavour in the PP... he's due to carry 12lb less here. Chance of reversing form with that one at least.

Connections quite bullish about the chances of Divers, on the cut off point of the handicap proper, assuming Poquelin lines up.

Two jump out at me but are likely to be out of the weights, Salut Flo and one I mentioned from the Paddy Power meeting with a view to stepping up in trip, Havingotascoobydo

Soary - you're not wrong, there! :<3: Four absolutely gorgeous-looking guys, two of them twins, who I guided to the director's box at Plumpton. Charm personified. Andy Stewart sponsored the whole card for Spinal Research, his interest being down to one of his sons suffering a serious spinal injury while snowboarding.

Can't disagree with Rory and DJ regarding Salut Flo - stamina maybe to prove and yet to be tested on an undulating track the only possible concerns.

Think that Surfing is interesting in this too - took a while to find his feet over fences here and in France but not beaten far by Ghizao and ran well enough at Chepstow also. Step up in trip should help him too.

I dunno about Salut Flo.

His French form isn't anything out of the ordinary, and a handicap mark of 137 seems about right for what he's achieved to date. Whilst there's always the possibility that Pipe can wring a bit more out of him, he's had five chase outings already, and isn't - for me at any rate - one of those generally-unknown quantities that come over from France, with tall reputations and a string of 1s beside their names i.e. the ones this eejit always falls for. I don't know if there's any betting on the race, but my gut feeling is that he would be one to oppose at a short-price.

Surfing has a very similar profile, imo, and is flattered by his proximity to Ghizao, though if forced to choose, I'd have him over Salut Flo, I must confess. However, I fear both are more Chicuelo than Cyfor Malta.

The one I obviously want to back is QE, however, there's something about the horse that makes me hesitate.

He strikes me as one of those yokes who will spend several years working it right up you; with humiliation being the only reward......only to run out a hard-held 66/1 winner, off 10-2 in the William Hill as a 14yo - on the only occassion you've left him unbacked in 17 races.

If Wishfull Thinking runs a big race in the Tingle Creek, I might be inclined to side with Merdemit in this. He's honest, consistent, likes the track, wants the trip and seems to be on a fairish mark. he has very few question marks against him, imo, and you know you're on a trier.

Cape Tribulation is a horse I've always liked and off 10:03 is one I'd be very very interested in if this is an intended target.
Seriously took the eye when fifth recently.

Think I recall Jefferson stating this was his target. Still very unexposed and has a nice blend of speed and stamina plus goes on any ground. Will wait closer to the day in the hope that he drifts as money comes for more high profile stables/runners. Feeling around that antepost betting is dead as day of race markets have been crazy so maybe we'll get 50/1 :D

Ghizao the early contender for the Nicholls chronic priced horse of the week contest.

Still not convinced of the value of the Paddy Power or the Henessy form so I'll be going for Medermit. He was well beaten last time out but 2m3f on good ground against proper top class animals was always a big ask.

Divers again for me, the stiffer 2m5f will suit and I think he can turn round the form from the PP.
