I’m fed up lying on my sick-bed (suppose that’s good after a few days of “don’t care if I live or die”) and trying to amuse myself by recollecting my stand out moments of the season so far. Trouble is I’ve got a head full of cotton wool and can’t get back past last week. So come on, help me out and give me some prompts - what’s been your stand out moment(s) so far?

Frodon at Down Royal was the first thing that sprang to mind. One of the greatest spectacles I have seen in years.

Adam Kirby’s ride in the Derby on Adayar for me was a stand out.

Obviously that’s last Flat season which wasn’t what you asked but my brother has been staying for four days and is a wine merchant....so both my head and liver aren’t exactly in great shape...

Wow, first time I’ve watched that, HW, electric (not the slickest hurdler on the park, though :))

Bravemansgame on chase debut. Magic over a fence.

Ferny Hollow yesterday. Savage - hopefully he can stay sound.

Greaneteen/Bryony on Tingle Creek day.

Nicky's impression of my Nan after Shishkin today.

Snow Leopardess in the Becher.

Alan King winning proper races over jumps again.

Plenty of this year's highlights revolve around Rachael Blackmore. Her 6 winners at Cheltenham and the Grand National are obvious highlights, and the welcome back to ring after the Hatton's Grace showed that her partner Honeysuckle has become the people's horse.

The way Jonbon who has glided through his races with the hallmark of a really top class horse.

I once thought Douvan might become the best we had ever seen but injury put paid to that.

It seems ironic that his full brother would pick up the mantle and send the same possibilities surging theough my brain.

Chasing is screaming out for another Arkle Kauto Star Sprinter Sacre but it will need something very special

So hopefully with a whole lotta luck Jonbon will remain unbeaten over the next few years and set the racing world of fire.

Good choice. King George good aswell.

Hurricane Lane getting after that thief Dettori in the Irish Derby got me off my feet aswell.

Me, too, Tan. They are in awe of him in the yard and I think we’re watching the birth of a super star.
