Summer Solstice 2025 Action Plan

As I am sure we are all aware, this year the event, 45 minutes down the A303 from me at Stonehenge, adjacent to Larkhill Point-to-Point track and near Druid's Lodge (of Confederacy fame) and Salisbury racecourse, falls on the eve of the Wokingham, rendering it even more important than usual.

In the event of Ancient Rome winning the Royal Hunt Cup two days previously, a delegation of TH Druids, led by that well-known Pagan Walsworth, will be gathering at the sacred stones to offer up prayers for Saint Lawrence so Druid-for-the-day Maurice can land his each-way double.

Druid The Fortune Teller will also be offering up prayers for lasting forum peace (even though said outcome was freely available at 1000 with no takers on the machine last time anyone looked) - he does love a crack at a "rag," that eternally-optimistic fella.

The whole event will be live-streamed on TH PaganTV at a pay-per-view price of just £19.99p.

Four days from the Summer Solstice, both horses are still in contention so the dream is very much on.

Rumour has it Maurice plans to spend some of his winnings on refortifying Hadrian's Wall and, tbh, that might be best for all concerned either side of it.

Walsworth is insisting on travelling from Hertfordshire to Stonehenge by Sedan Chair so any volunteers to carry TH's Honourary Chief Druid should make themselves known asap.

I can get to Avebury by following the St Michael Ley Line. My Wiccan magic makes this simple but for the last 22 miles I will have to get the No 42 bus.

Time for a Winter Solstice Action Plan.

The word at Stonehenge is that Walsworth has got a new set of Druidic thermals and plans to sacrifice a rabbit to the Pagan Gods.

I plan to hijack the event, save the bunny st the 11th hour, and have the RSPCA stage a citizen's arrest on The Hertfordshire Bunny Murderer.
