Good morning.

That was a turn-up; Two Tribes. I did think that they'd found his trip to be seven furlongs after his International win, even after having been convinced that six furlongs was his true distance. Horses, eh?

All in all, Goodwood was ok even if the racing was frustrating after the questions over going. Anyway, on to today.

I have a couple I'm on:

Kassaya - Chester 3.52 11/4 win

Unusually, I noted this as a two year old; on her debut. Not the bes of runs in that debut, coming second. I thought I saw something that impressed me and evidently connections thought her to be smart, running her in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, where she started favourite but was continually denied in her run and finished down the field. Then she was injured and waited almost a year before winning a handicap in July this year. My feeling is that this listed class should present no problems if she has trained on after the injury to bring her back to peak condition.

Apiarist - Galway 4.00 12/1 Ew 4 places.

This a noted horse from last season and I'd cooled with my interest until his last run at Ascot where he stood out for me, even though half way down the field. I have a suspicion that he may be needing at least a mile now and maybe a little further. However, I wouldn't be adamant to take a stand on it and I'm willing to back her here over seven after noting last time out.

2 x Singles
Ew double.

Elsewhere I fancy Jasko Des dames (3.30 Galway 10/1) as an ew shot for a little. Just a form fancy.

Off for a good long walk now up in north Norfolk - lovely old job.

Good luck

Yup. or further.

My headstone - 'late headway, never nearer'

Still, did it ew so nae bad.

Cambrdgeshire's a thought. Easily get to into that.
