Renewed my road tax online on Tuesday and the disc arrived today - so much better than trying to find your certificate of insurance and a post office that does them

Sorry this sounds rather nerdy but just in case people were not aware of this useful service I have posted it up
 
Sounds like an excellent idea -I usually get to the front of the queue in the Post Office having waited for 45 mins only to find I have brought last years MOT certificated with me.

How do you go about proving the insurance & MOT, James - do you just fill in numbers?
 
Think they send a form out to you Jinnyj.

Paid for my TV license renewal down the phone the other day and the girl on the phone said they'd send me it and I could pay direct debit :)

Your renewal form will have a ref no which you enter on the website . So long as you have a new style MOT certificate which is computerised they will search against your vehicle for the MOT and insurance
