I recently posted a thread on F/F and I named three so called personalities I dislike intently these being ..........

NOEL EDMONDS

JOE PASQUALI

PAUL O'GRADY

Who do you not like that appears on television here in the U/K???????????

Those'll do for starters, Merls, but I turn them off the minute I see them, so I don't torture myself with them. Davina McCall must qualify as the Shriek of the Week - I don't know how she manages to squeal so long and loud and not pass out. I also have to turn down that rasping girl on 'Cash in the Attic' - she gets very grating when over-excited by a £3 profit. Unfortunately, it's sometimes difficult to enjoy some programmes because the presenters insist on shrieking and screaming like kids on too many E numbers, and Dan Cruickshank, otherwise an engaging historian, gets on my nerves with his endless semaphoring with his hands. Very distracting from the subject matter.

Fortunately, there are far more people who I DO enjoy seeing on tv than don't!

I've thought about this long and hard and I'm afraid that I have been unable to come up with a name of a preseter of a television show who doesn't grate on my nerves like Laurence Olivier in the Marathon Man.

In the words of Kenny Everett, I would like to round them up, put them in a field and bomb the bastards.

Could someone pass the cloves please?

You're right Colin, there is a theme. I cant stand overtly gay men prancing on stage and people assuming they are talented. All the people i listed have made a career out of being camp and making innuendos. This is not talent

I`ll endorse Paul O`Grady, Kenneth Williams he is not. Also:

Claire Sweeney...Ugly, scouse, annoying voice, cant act, cant present.

Carol Vorderman...Mutton

Tess Daly...Too blonde and anodyne, married to a dick.

Natassia Kapinsky....A fcuking newsreader who thinks she`s Bette Davis.

Bruce Forsyth..Horrendously overpaid, should have retired in 1979.

Ulrika Jonsson...Slag.

Eamon Holmes...This fcuker has even written an autobiography.

Patrick Kielty....Self satisfied twat with zero talent.

Anyone under thirty who "stars" in a soap....Ever heard of Spencer Tracy you hacks?

Harry Hill, because he is about as funny as cancer. that horrible shit who's name I can't remember but who once had the Bee Gees walk out on him. And worst of the lot, I think the tossers name is Vernon Kay. I can't stand that twat

All hyper-active 'celebrity' chefs; everyone who's just discovered the 'F' word and says it 50 times a minute (yawn); the all-screaming, all-bawling, over-emoting presenters of children's shows (no wonder kids think shrieking is the norm); and while the content of their shows is/was sometimes interesting, Richard & Judy can get very tiresome in their his 'n' hers spats (not that I've watched it for months).

I miss the lovely, pleasantly lively, late Jill Dando. She seemed to embody so many qualities, and there are so few around now who can combine them. We have a very nice presenter down here, Sally Taylor, but she has this alarming tendency to let her voice get suddenly piercingly LOUD to the point I think only bats can hear it.

Listen, tv people: I'm not deaf, I don't need windmilling hands to make a point, I'm capable of understanding the news without having a picture of a knife shown when someone's been stabbed, and I really, honestly, can manage without a different person intoning from every location - whatever happened to just reading out the bloody news from the studio? (Dear God, I've turned into my own grandmother!) :(
