Terry Gone Awol?

It's my choice to stay away from here most of the time but I wouldn't like to be banned. Take note of the regular contributors who comment on just about everything yet avoid this thread like the plague.
 
I can only think of one Diver but he's bad enough to cause people to shy away. You're certainly not alone in your views.

Fairly typical of the dumbing down attitude in present day Britain that being in any way capable of stringing sentences together with more than one syllable attracts derision from those who couldn't be bothered to take advantage of the education on offer.

In future, if any one has issues with any other contributor on here or any allegations, at least have the guts to actually name them, instead of this constant insidious, snide, side-swiping bitchinesss that has been going on here for months.
 
I meant Ardross. I have no problems with any other member or moderator. Apologies for not naming him in my earlier post.

Expect this thread to get deleted or locked as soon as he reads this.

Of course he doesn't! Apart from the fact that I had contributed to the thread and diver was on about someone who hadn't, Diver and I are known occasionally to sink a few gallons together - particularly in the company of Rockin' Billy, doyen of the smash hits of the 50's and 60's.

Anyway, I can't upset him - he still owes me two bottles of champagne :lol:
 
Wel, if it's me Diver was referring to, I'm flattered if he thinks I'm an intellectual but obviously deluded - again, just name names and then we're all clear.

Brian - I can quite understand not wanting to upset the person who is due to stump up some champagne :P
 
I have already contributed to this thread so perhaps I am in the clear but I doubt it. I should be sorry having met DIVER in congenial company at Brighton last year and having talked to him if he means me . Accuse me of over moderation by all means but I don't think that I have intellectually bullied anyone . There are a number of very prominent members who appear to me to have much more of a case to answer on that.

I am sick to death of constant innuendo and bitching of the type Julie describes - nearly always started by those who have been suspended or banned. These navel gazing threads are destructive and counter productive.
 
If Diver can't stand Brian, then his previously-documented thespian talents DO deserve an Oscar! :lol:

I too have met Diver at Cheltenham at the end of last year & liked him alot, but wondered where he had disappeared too - glad to see you're still around. :D

I appear to have unintentionally started an off-shoot here. I was initially commenting on why people like Terry(2nd or 3rd in the all time posting averages on here) would choose to leave. I put forward one idea of my own, found a number of members with the same opinion, identified my own fan club along the way(one 'member' of which I am ecstatic about), caused a few postings simply to avoid being 'identified' as intellectual, inadvertantly reminded LordH about a champagne debt, got a clip around the ear( gratefully accepted), received several PM's and found people 'talking' to me. I might call in more often now and put the balls up in the air again. Sorry AC, the ecstacy does not apply to your good self but your heart is well safe.
