One can only work with what is provided by the forum and that's what you get with the 'insert image' option. Besides, they get a bit bigger if you click on them

use 'go advanced'
insert image
double click the image
you should get the screen above, then you can choose the size.

I'll have a look in the settings when I get 5 minutes and see if I can change the default from thumbnail to large or full size
