A good jump meeting at Chepstow next weekend and the Showcase Meeting at Cheltenham the following weekend so will start this competition as of next Saturday. Any prizes greatfully received, failing that a bit of street cred for anyone in the top three.
Talking Horses / Final FurlongTen To Follow Competition Rules
The competition runs from Saturday October 12th 2013 to Saturday May 3rd 2014 inclusive.
Select nine horses from the list below and add one Dark Horse i.e one horse of your own choice which is not on the list.
Scoring is as follows
Winner 15pts
Second 7 points
Third 3 points
Fourth 1 point
Points for placed horses will only be awarded where a Tote place dividend is declared for that horse.
In the event of a dead heat full points are still awarded but should any race be a walk over, no points are scored.
Ten additional points will be awarded to winners of any race at the Cheltenham Festival, the Aintree Grand National meeting and the Punchestown Festival.

A further ten additional points (meaning a maximum of 35 in total) are gained by the winner of the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, World Hurdle, Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Aintree Grand National.
No substitutions will be allowed for the duration of this competition.
Any disputes, my decision is final.
