Thought as it was nearly October I should start thinking about this again. I am happy to compile a list for this as before as long as someone (hopefully Faye/New Approach) can run it throughout the season.

As I have won it for two of the three years since it has been running, I intend to abstain from entering to give the rest of you a chance........ 😁 - it's also a bit embarrassing to still have the trophy here! (the middle year ep1987 who who didn't want the trophy so it's been gathering dust on my dresser ever since I bought it.

So can you register your interest here please plus if anyone would like to add anything in the form of sponsorship - we already have a fantastic trophy but any more is always well received.
 
Is this anything like the ABC 12 ? I have a friend who has entered this and he says his entry fee was £10 and then he gets a list of 100 NH horses to choose from and he had to pick10. He had to give himself a stable name. They get extra points given for the big races and the first 3 get the prize money when the competition in May.
Is this competition anything like this ? Is there a payment to enter ?

Free to enter but lots of fun. We have a big old list of the points system which I will put up when I do the list. This is just an appetiser to get you all thinking about it. But we seem to have loads of new members so hopefully they will enter too.
It's a list of about 250 horses and you have to pick 9 from the list (you can have up to three lists) but you can only have three horses in each list from each trainer (that's so we don't get a Mullins domination!) and then you need to select a horse that isn't on the list as your Dark Horse (but you need to put who trains it)
More points for bigger races and odds IIRC - which is why I only pick the list and don't do the scoring.

The trophy (will attach a photo) is in memory of Col who set up this forum and also Diamond Geezer who ran the many competitions on here. Both are sadly missed and it's nice to have something that remembers them.
 
I’m sure we can do it through your account? So long as he has a forum name it should be fine. It’s a one off picking the list rather than adding to it throughout the season.
