The Stan James diary arrived this morning, together with a "Happy New Year" letter from Chris Edwards. It was posted second class in Oxfordshire, but I have no idea when. Those who work for the firm and visit here might want to let someone know.

What a f*cking shambles of a company.

3 points though....

1) Mr Edwards doesn't have a door - this is an open plan office.

2) Arkers works in our UK office, while Mr Edwards works here Gibraltar (along with Cricketfan and I), so, even if he did have a door, Arkers won't be able to reach it.

3) Mr Edwards was largely responsible for the recent sacking of the tw*t who is now my ex-boss - so I am more pally with him at the moment than usual. He's not all bad!

& Arkers would spend a while trying to work out which of the "managers" he should really be going to.....

Sean Graham Bookmakers are quoting a horse called Flagship Umbrella in their Champion Chase betting. Apart from anything else, Flagship Uberalles isn't even engaged in the race anymore.

Meanwhile, Bet365 have scored a spectular own goal by proudly announcing a range of special offers - then sending letters to their "unprofitable" clients saying that they are not allowed to benefit from them.

I have now found some comfort in the fact that Sid James is not the only shambolic bookmaking outfit in business.
