Though manifest Grand National addicts like Alex (rumoured to have a statue of Red Rum in his kitchen, rendering cookery all but impossible) might struggle with this concept, it is an under-rated fact that an 8/1 winner of a race that isn't the Grand National pays better than a 15/2 winner of the GN.

This is a cracking race on the support card and I make no apology for creating a thread about it!

I think Docpicked me is a solid bet at 10/1 each-way four places in this.

He was slightly fortuitous in the Great Yorkshire as my 25/1 bet Walking On Air was surely in the process of jumping into the lead, and doing him up the run in, when landing too steeply and falling at the last.

But it was still a decent effort on Town Moor's typically resilient Winter surface and I reckon he will be better suited by the ground than most tomorrow.

I've liked Charlie Maggs ever since he got Some Scope home for me at 6/1 in the Rowland Meyrick, this enduring my diet didn't entirely consist of Turkey sandwiches until New Year's Day, and the lad is banging value for his 5lb claim.

I backed SS that day too. It's uncanny how often our selections coincide.

Are we at some point in the past separated conjoined twins??

My figures below but the BOs are unedited. I've had to rethink things since two I liked are out and the market has changed. The main bet is now Imperial Saint with a smaller bet on Le Milos and my longshot is Shakem Up'arry.
