The 2025 Glorious Goodwood Day 2 (Wednesday) thread

Nick Luck on X today: "John (Gosden) told me Field Of Gold is lame on his near hind leg, his left hind leg. He said it's fairly obvious he's lame and that a vet is going to come in and perform all the requisite tests to try and ascertain the nature of the injury."

Unless you think Gosden is lying, I don't think Field Of Gold was winning yesterday, no matter what the fractions were, or where he was positioned.

Those 'fractions' enabled mr to herald his defeat - and predict the forthcoming messy race.

Funny he didn’t mention that when interviewed yesterday if was fairly obvious.

I appreciate the functionality here is occasionally confusing for some, "reet hard," but if you could see your way clear to not attributing quotes to me I didn't even actually make I would appreciate it.

I'm not even sure how you've somehow contrived to do that tbh! 😂

Simon Rowlands's take, with apologies to Slim.

If FOG gets a 127 rating on mark-up, the injury couldn't have been that bad. Isn't it often the case that adrenaline masks the pain until after the event?

I've just realised I've misinterpreted SR's rating graphic. I'd assumed the final column referred to the race performance but now I see that it their ongoing ratings. FOG has run 20lbs below his rating.
