The 2025 Greatwood (Handicap) Hurdle

I've done 2.
Mirabad 16/1 Skelton now trains it and said th8s was the early target if he's being honest:p
Wreckless Eric. 25/1

The weights are out now, so I've had my first butchers at it.

I can see why Celtic Dino and Alexei are at the front of the market tbh.
Just has another look and haven't much changed my mind.

Alexei looks very progressive to me and, the way he won at Ascot, I think he has bright prospects of avenging (check me out with my former racing journalist cliches) that Chepstow defeat by Celtic Dino, I think Casheldale Lad would have a sound each-way chance if he ran and King William Rufus could make the frame if he turns up.

Godon Elliot hasn't had a runner in this race since 2013. I doubt he'll waste the mark here with Casheldale Lad.

This is an absolute nonsense of a race. The most interesting horse on the list is Putapoundinthejar. He’s got a deceptive profile because they’ve spent the summer getting him handicapped on the flat in between runs at Galway and Listowel. I’d like to bet a horse that would show up to the race fully fit, and this looks a deeply average renewal.

The same owners of Alexei also have Jurancon as a possible runner, although all his form is on soft ground, so I wonder if he is ground dependant. He's trained by David Pipe, who wouldn't be top of anyone's list to train a Greatwood Hurdle winner, but you never know. Maybe Jurancon is a decent horse to go to war with.

Mirabad into 7/1 and wreckless Eric not f*#king running. I will need a return off mirabad to make up for my a/p losses.

Alexei 6/1 from 8/1 now and, I know it's boring, but I think what beats it wins.

I wouldn't lay 6/1 - it's a 4/1 shot in my book.

Yes G, that's what I heard.

Thanks. He did ride it at Punchestown so it would be great if he was back on again. Unfortunantly a good friend of mine, who is a really good judge thinks, I'm absolutley raving assuming it's well in off 133. I'd rather he agreed with me!
