The 2025 King George VI Chase

3/1 both GW and FTF can't go wrong.
I do think even money about one of them winning it is far from being the worst bet in the world.

I think they both need to bounce after that epic Punchestown War for anything else to win it tbh.

As previously stated, I bet Banbridge and Il Est Francais for this almost a year ago, but I think both could return to their very best and still not be quite good enough if either of the Punchestown pair runs their race.

This is going to be some contest.

Gaelic Warrior isn't going to get the lead easily. There is the potential for them to go mental like last year. We all know what Mark Walsh will do. He won't be seen until two out and won't lead until the last. I can see Fact To File trading fairly short after a circuit..

Yeah, I think how it's pretty obvious that how the race unfolds depends a lot on what Paul Townend and Harry Cobden do in relation to each other.

What Fact To File has going for him IMO is there is no chance of any other runner having identical tactics to his rider's which might kill his chance.

This is going to be brutal. Hopfully the french horse is in the same form as last year to ensure this.
FTF could be doing a Harchi impression after the last.

I think Banbridge will win it again

2 from 2 at Kempton
Optimum ground
Race will suit a closer
This is his cup final for the season

He's a rising 9yo now. They'd no choice but to run on desperate ground at Cork. His two runs last spring were lifeless. I just can't have him getting involved.

I know the winner is obvious to you, Mr Overling, but if you could see your way clear to reminding the underlings who it is before they've weighed in (and preferably tonight), it sure would put a lot of welcome Turkey gruel on tables two days hence.
What fun would that be!
Not sure you underlings deserve any drippings from my table.

That said, I was all over the french horse last year and was counting the cash!
Was screaming for VAR afterwards (wtf has just happened here).

Yours
Mr Overling
