The 2025 London Mile Series Final (Handicap)

Local Hero looks like he might have been laid out for this and he's already jocked up - 20/1 best with William Hill.

Radiant Beauty (9/1 best) isn't sure to make the cut, but would have an obvious chance if she did.

Andrew Asquith has put up Local Hero.
Never trust a man who looks like his mum still takes him clothes shopping.

Local Hero 12/1 best now.

The other one in the field that interests me a bit is Whitcombe Rockstar at 20/1 best.

He won this last year, they've kept him away from his favoured AW this year and, like Local Hero, I suspect this is a target race for him.

Your boys both made the race. I was tempted to pull the trigger on 20/1 Helm rock in the week and thought better of it as I thought he had little chance of making the cut, he's only gone and snuck in at 14 the cheeky devil.

Not on oddschecker yet but 20/1 with a few still and I'm amazed at that I though he'd be between 8' and 12's. I've managed to get a decent bet on at that. I'd already had a bit on your Local hero as I thought it was a solid contender Ian but I've had double the amount on my fella. He won this 2 years ago off a mark of 94, he's now off 83 with a 3lb claimer he's won his latest effort at Haydock with comments of not clear run pushed out comfortably so he's in reasonable form coming into this. He ran in this last year off 86 but the race never panned out for him as nothing came from off the pace. That said I was still disappointed with his effort last year, I was entitled to be as I had my absolute nuts on. He was negative in the betting last year when really he shouldn't have been. I haven't gone as mad this year but he's no 20/1 shot and that's to 4 places with a few. It's a little strange that they've decided to give him a breathing op off the back of a win but hopefully that aids him further. Not the best of draws but I'm not allowing that to put me off as Whitcome won it from 14 last year.

Cracking post IMO, Danny - I do enjoy reading these big-race discussions, particularly the handicaps.

Obviously i didn't know that by breathing op they must have removed the horses lungs 40/1 top price jesus wept.

"I'm really pleased for Oisin after all the issues he's had."

Said no one in their right mind EVER (and especially those who were on the runner up at 20/1).

FML.
