The 2025 Shergar Cup

The one and only time I went to Brighton races I had arranged to meet a friend who lived there.
He stitched me up good and proper saying we should meet in this 'really friendly' pub in the town centre.
I arrived at the pub before him (surprise, surprise) and was looking at the drinks on offer when a guy sprung out wearing leather hot pants and very little else.
With a wink he said "If you see anything you fancy please let me be your first port of call'
I turned around to leg it to see my friend pissing his sides at the entrance door to the pub!!!!
I had a similar experience there, I realised i was in the wrong place for me when i was stood at the bar next to what was best described as pat roach in a dress 🤣

In the last race a mile hcap which is worth winning (38g)
padishakh is only 6/1.ex O'Meara horse.in my alerts but i wouldnt back it at that price.
nothing under 16s would interest me.

I think we need a forum pact that the word "team" is verboten from post time for the first race at Chepstow tomorrow night until they've weighed in for the last at Ascot on Saturday.

So savage it's gone - 6/1 with Paddy Power and now 7s best elsewhere.

I think we just might be on a trier. 😂

Win or lose, Slim has put up a right steamer that's clearly wanted. 👍

Unbelievably I can't find any info on when the jockey riding arrangements are announced or when the deadline for reserves is - when it comes to info for punters these people (still) couldn't run a bath.

I'm still thinking about Hollie.

The world, his wife, Richard Austen, the ex-Timeform Spotlight Editor of the Racing Post, the Daily Mail, The Sun and the Star are all over La Vita Nova for tomorrow and she's now 9/2 best and as low as 7/2.

She could pull up tomorrow and I'd still still consider this a cracking ante-post (33/1) call from TH's most consistently courteous contributor. 😂👍

Stick: S 8.0 R 6.4 - zero rain etc forecast before/during racing.

By way of most recent comparison on King George Day it was S 8.0 R 6.8.

Watering: Straight course 10mm on Friday and Wednesday and Round course 3mm on Friday night, Thursday and Wednesday nights.

They've watered the Round Course more than I'd have liked, given one of my ante-post bets, but a dry mostly sunny day is forecast, so it might dry out.

Good luck, you guys. I’m just relieved none of my notebooks are running in it so I can give it the cold shoulder without worry :)
