The 2025 Silver Cup Handicap Chase

that I tried to listen to at Cheltenham, but I'm still at the level of yep that's a horse, then in the pony race the fattest chunkiest one won after dissing it in the parade ring !

Couldn't have made that up that pony was a proper chubster, even the child riding it looked like Augustus Gloop yet it absolutely flew up the hill.

Don’t worry boys Jinnyj will look after us ALL ……….who is bringing the Border Collie to keep us all together šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž Seriously you may not back winners ( Jinnyj’s fault šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆ) but we will have a tremendous fun filled day with so many laughs ……..do we have a bit on The Famous Five at Ascot 13:50 tomorrow to give us a flying start ?

I hope someone had Deep Cave.

I remember backing him at Cheltenham early last season, when he was fifth, and I was convinced he didn't look fit in the parade ring beforehand, (after I'd placed my bet).. Hence I was bit peed off with the trainer that day so just put this horse on ignore ever since and he's now won three times at handsome prices.

Baked beans tonight.

Deep Cave was the potential blot in the race. I let it go for two reasons.

1. The stable form
2. The price (I wanted at least 16/1)

It was chasing in France two seasons ago but kept to hurdles for his new yard last season. His 67.5kg mark over there translates literally to 148 so there had to be a chance he was well in here off 139, especially if he could find 10lbs on his decent hurdles form from last season but the 8/1 the other day and the stable form left me cold.

Disappointed with the ride Victtorino got. I know it was similar to before but I wasn't happy with it then either. It looked to me like he was happy to follow Pic Roc but, as I said beforehand, there was always going to be the chance that he wouldn't be over Newbury.

I'm wondering if Victtorino just needs a pace collapse at this level.
