I was on at Chepstow and loved the way it battled.Chuffed to see my friends' horse King of the Lake in there. They were all astounded by the Chepstow win so it would be nice to see him run well here for them.
I think it was always quite nice but had wind issues that I mentioned when I saw him beaten early on and his head was a bit awkward. Took a while to convince the Scott daughter (she's fairly dominant in her opinion) that he needed an op but as soon as they did, he improved significantly. I was looking forward to seeing him go over fences but I guess they will stick to hurdles this year now. Either way it's a small West Country syndicate of good friends all of whom I know and all live local to Jeremy and they are having an absolute blast.Came from nowhere for me. Up in distance but think there will be some further progress.
It's eased from midweek to quite a fair price now.Came from nowhere for me. Up in distance but think there will be some further progress.
I have backed Just Ennemi ew @ 20/1.
Must have some kind of ability and could be thrown in here and for me its worth taking a chance with.
After that is Just Ennemi in the Lanzarote Hurdle at 3:17pm, who was bitterly disappointing on stable debut last time out but his bloods came back wrong from that race so I’m hoping that was the reason he was so disappointing. We thought we’d go hurdling for the rest of this year with a bit of time running out for the rest of the season. He’s in great form, hopefully he can take a good step forward but he will need to.Harry Derham.
I’ve followed King of the Lake since he dotted up at Wincanton last February- except last time out at Chepstow (when I thought he had no chanceI think it was always quite nice but had wind issues that I mentioned when I saw him beaten early on and his head was a bit awkward. You're not the only one who thought he didn't have much of a chance at Chepstow! His trainer was fairly surprised as were all the owners. But I think he's improving. At Newton Abbot when I saw him run, he was fat as a pig.I’ve followed King of the Lake since he dotted up at Wincanton last February- except last time out at Chepstow (when I thought he had no chance) and have to have a little bit each way (6 places) today.
Also a former Betfair Hurdle and Greatwood Hurdle winner, easy in hindsight. The winner was Timeform top-rated.
