Currently Good to Soft at Kelso - likely to a somewhat different surface to the Newbury one Tutti Quanti appeared to run easily his career best on and I doubt we'll see get six pulling up on Saturday.

Cracking Rhapsody looked on great terms with himself yesterday.
Hoping he does it to give good example to his younger half sister, due to debut in Kildorrery p2p yesterday.
She didn't ,luckily, as the winner Darby Hill looks a right machine, winning by 20L with her mouth open. By Yeats ex Westerner mare she wasn't even blowing after her race.

I remember when this race used to have 4 runners and be run on a Thursday. Fond memories of Zaynar getting turned over at 1/14 when the cameras were on the other side of the track. Am a curmudgeonly old bore but they've definitely improved it.

Love this meeting and race, one of the highlights of my racing year. A very open race this year too.

It's not much of a secret any more, but I think Hamlets Night has a lot in his favour here. A close 2nd behind Rubaud (albeit in a small field) reads well and hopefully the AW win last time puts him spot on here. Add the Sean Bowen booking into it and it looks promising.

Either way, he's definitely been saved for something this Spring. Fingers crossed it's Saturday.

Serious Challenge can be forgiven his last two runs: was amiss in the Greatwood, and failed to stay at Aintree. Before that had a nicely progressive profile, going for 4 in a row when finishing 4 of 14 in a C2 at Sandown. Pace here will be ideal and I have backed him at 11/1 and at 65 on Betfair for the County.

Good luck
Joe

Good effort Joe.

Hot pace but still not fast enough for Serious Challenge. Got there too soon, but probably down to circumstances rather than jockey error. Hopefully do better in The County.

Quaviste and Skelton at it again.

I was on it and am not sure they were 'at it'. I think it was a case of win if the race goes its way but it's inexperienced and trying to go round the inner might have done its chances more harm than good - look what happened to Cracking Rhapsody - and it ended up coming wide from the back. It was probably the best horse in the race at the weights and won't go up much for this so maybe the Imperial Cup, a race horses around 120 often make the cut for, might be in their sights, Langer Dan style.

I'd disagree. They were at it.
