The 2026 USA Racing Thread

Now its time for the G1s to take the stage:

First up, the Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational Stakes

the top 3 favourites are
2: Program Trading (Last Race: 10th in the Breeders Cup Mile, Last Place: 2nd in Coolmore Turf Mile)
4: One Stripe (Last Race: 1st Gulfstream Allowance Claim)
1: Test Score (Last Race: 3rd at the Hollywood Derby)

And Now for the Main Event: The G1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational: This race has a major theme, the 4 year olds vs the veterans

Full Card:
1. Disco Time: The Favourite, is undefeated in every race they attended, their last race was the Dwyer Stakes at Aqueduct, this is their first G1

2. British Isles: An Outsider, has won a Claim Race in 2025.

3 Full Serrano (Arg): Was the 2024 Breeders Cup Mile Champion, but lost that crown in the 2025 edition, their first race since.

4. Banishing: Ran a lot in 2025 so is experienced in recent races so might have a chance to place
5. Skippylongstocking: Their first G1 since the Whitney Stakes, I don't think they will do well but cool name

6. Madaket Road: Scratched due to a Hoof Abscess

7. Tappan Street: The only horse to beat Sovereignty in 2025, the 2nd Favourite and should be in the hot seat for the win

8. Poster: One of the lesser raced of the field, is their first G1

9. Captain Cook: Also one of the lesser raced of the field, and is their first G1, but hasn't won in 2025

10. Mika: Their first Graded race, Nice name but don't expect much, will provide Graded experience for the future

11. White Abarrio: The Reigning, Defending Pegasus World Cup Champion. Coming off 2 scratched races, one in the Breeders Cup and one in Melbourne. If he wants to go to the Breeders Cup, he has to get a good run in this race. Would be the 1st Back to Back champion of the Pegasus World Cup in the time that the race was called the Pegasus

12. Brotha Keny: Won a few Stakes Races but don't expect much

13. Lightning Tones: Enters as the replacement for Madaket Road, Won a Stakes race in 2026 at Gulfstream so might be good track experience for them. I wouldn't expect much but could be a shock

14: Catalytic: Replacement Horse but hasn't been called up.
